Naples. The police unit of Pizzofalcone is in shambles. Commissario Luigi Palma, a jovial 40-year old with a damaged past, is called to lead the precinct. He’s helped by Giuseppe Lojacono, a brilliant inspector with a depressing family life, who’s (unfoundedly) accused by a pentito to be a Mafia informant. Along with the other agents, they form the shabbiest police unit in town–that’s why they are nicknamed “the Bastards of Pizzofalcone”.
